Charles P. Cartwright, PhD
Vice President and Laboratory Director, ViroMed Laboratories
Dr Cartwright earned his doctorate in microbiology from the University of Bath in the United Kingdom. After undertaking programs of postdoctoral research in molecular microbiology at Yale University School of Medicine and the University of Massachusetts Medical School, he completed a formal fellowship in clinical microbiology at the National Institutes of Health. Dr Cartwright was then employed as a senior research scientist in the nucleic acid diagnostics program at Ortho-Clinical Diagnostics in Rochester, NY, before moving to Minneapolis, Minnesota, where, for almost a decade, he served on the faculty of the departments of lab medicine and pathology and medicine at the University of Minnesota Medical School, and as medical director of clinical microbiology and molecular diagnostics at Hennepin County Medical Center and the Veterans Affairs Medical Center. Dr Cartwright has been the laboratry director of ViroMed Laboratories since 2006 and, in that role, oversees the scientific integrity and regulatory compliance of the testing performed at ViroMed.
Laboratory Manager, ViroMed Laboratories
Jennifer received her medical technology degree from Michigan State University and completed course work at Washington State University in the Master of Business Administration, Operations Management Program. Prior to joining ViroMed, Jennifer was the director of operational support at the American Red Cross in Portland, Oregon, where she was responsible for operational systems and regulatory compliance. Jennifer has more than 20 years of combined quality systems and laboratory experience in an FDA-regulated environment. Jennifer has overall responsibility for the operations of ViroMed Laboratories, including directing laboratory personnel, overseeing project management, and ensuring regulatory compliance.
Quality Assurance Manager, ViroMed Laboratories
Jason completed his biology degree at the University of North Carolina and received a master’s in health administration from Pfeiffer University. He gained more than 6 years of quality management experience at BioLife Plasma Services, a division of Baxter International Inc. As the regional quality management representative, Jason ensured quality processes and compliance with federal, state, and company regulations in multiple collection centers. Additionally Jason led FDA, EMA, COLA, CLIA, and other agency audits. Prior to working at BioLife Plasma, Jason was a supervisor in the HLA laboratory at LabCorp, Burlington. He is responsible for ViroMed’s quality systems.
