In just a few short years, ViroMed's virology/microbiology expertise made it one of the premier private clinical laboratories in the country. From that strong base of scientific expertise, and with its unwavering commitment to quality, ViroMed expanded the breadth of its testing services over the years to also meet the specialized needs of a broad spectrum of clients. In June, 2001 ViroMed's clinical businesses (clinical diagnostics, clinical trials, and diagnostic products) were acquired by Laboratory Corporation of America® Holdings. As a part of LabCorp®, ViroMed continues to provide high-quality laboratory testing services and products with its customary focus on client requirements. Areas of Specialization: CLINICAL LABORATORY TESTING SERVICES ViroMed provides clinical diagnostic laboratory testing to clients throughout the United States with an emphasis on molecular biology assays. ViroMed has an extensive history of molecular biology assay development and current assays are validated and maintained by PhD-level scientists. TISSUE & EYE BANK TESTING SERVICES ViroMed Laboratories provides premier donor testing services to the tissue bank industry. ViroMed combines expertise in serology and molecular biology with a customer-focused approach for accurate, timely results. REPRODUCTIVE DONOR TESTING SERVICES ViroMed has more than a decade of experience serving the tissue donor industry and offers a comprehensive portfolio of In Vitro Fertilization (IVF) reproductive donor testing services. PHARMACEUTICAL INDUSTRY Assay consultation is available to clinical trial sponsors for help with test selection and trial endpoints. Molecular biology assay development for specific vectors are designed and validated to client’s specifications. CELL CULTURE & DIAGNOSTIC PRODUCTS One of the foremost suppliers of cell culture products in North America, ViroMed also offers clinical laboratories other products that are non-cell-culture based, including media and red blood cells.
